About me + Small bio

I discovered digital art, YouTube, and animation when the COVID-19 pandemic first hit. I remember thinking, "Wow! This is really cool; this is what I want to do."

But wayyyyy before that, my mom had encouraged me to draw on paper. I have sadly, never filled up a sketchbook. Perhaps this has to do with me never being able to bring it anywhere as it was SO SO HEAVY XD I would draw on printer paper... and lose them. That's why half of the art I made when I was little has disappeared.

Anyways, when the pandemic hit, I played the game Animal Jam, and being able to use the drawing tool on there to practice a little helped motivate me. That was my first digital art program.

Eventually, I got a little bored of that, especially since there was no erase tool, so I tried to search for another program. Since I used (and still use) a Chromebook, my options were limited. I happened to stumble upon Pixlr Editor when I was trying to edit pictures for a school project, and after exploring it, I decided to draw there. With my trackpad. Yes. I drew on a trackpad for a year! One of my greatest achievements. Two of the drawings on the homepage are trackpad drawings, see if you can find which ones.

After a year or so, I started noticing how other artists would have cool background effects because of cool brushes. And so I went off (again) in search of a better drawing program. I eventually found MediBang, which was similar enough to Pixlr that I could easily learn. I have recently figured out how to get my Wacom Intuos tablet to work, so I use that a lot now.

That's where I am today.

More about me as a person; I love the winter! I despise the spring because of my pollen allergies, summer is fine but it's just TOO HOT, and I guess fall is fine - but it's agony having to wait for winter. I do some winter sports so I prefer cold over hot.

I also love stuffed animals. And blankets. I have hoards and piles of stuffed animals. I plan to one day have a room full of stuffed animals because they're soft and I love burying my face into them.

I enjoy being outdoors, especially when it's cold, but sometimes (ok often) I'm a lazy couch potato and stare at the computer screen all day. I prefer night over day by a long shot, and my favorite colors are blue, green, white, and black.
